Huey is a home bred boy – he’s from our Tyler/Aspen litter. We are so excited about this young dog who finished his championship before his 2nd birthday and is 2 single points away from his Grand championship. Huey, like his father, is a true type Golden – many have called him “old fashion” – we say he’s “classic”. He is a big boy – 24 1/2 inches tall and approximately 90 lbs. – we like to say he’s “tall, dark and handsome”!
HEAD: Classic English head with strong masculine look. Great depth and breadth of muzzle. Proportions are correct. Excellent pigmentation but does get the “winter nose”.
MOUTH: Full dentition and scissor bite.
EYES: Dark, well set and correct shape
COAT: Good texture with slight wave, medium gold in color. Good undercoat. Lots of coat compared to our other dogs – it needs a little work to maintain for the show ring.
CONFORMATION: Great on the stack. Has good layback of shoulder with good front and rear angles. Nice length of neck that flows into a level topline and correct tail set. Good length of rib and has great length of leg under the body.
MOVEMENT: Covers the ground with good reach and drive. Good on the out and back. Carries a level topline and tail set while on the move.
