Huey is a home bred boy – he’s from our Tyler/Aspen litter. We are so excited about this young dog who finished his championship before his 2nd birthday, has finished his Grand championship, and is now mostly retired from showing until he becomes a veteran. Huey, like his father, is a true type Golden – many have called him “old fashion” – we say he’s “classic”. He is a big boy – 24 1/2 inches tall and approximately 90 lbs. – we like to say he’s “tall, dark and handsome”!
HEAD: Classic English head with strong masculine look. Great depth and breadth of muzzle. Proportions are correct. Excellent pigmentation but does get the “winter nose”. MOUTH: Full dentition and scissor bite. EYES: Dark, well set and correct shape COAT: Good texture with slight wave, medium gold in color. Good undercoat. Lots of coat compared to our other dogs – it needs a little work to maintain for the show ring. CONFORMATION: Great on the stack. Has good layback of shoulder with good front and rear angles. Nice length of neck that flows into a level topline and correct tail set. Good length of rib and has great length of leg under the body. MOVEMENT: Covers the ground with good reach and drive. Good on the out and back. Carries a level topline and tail set while on the move.
